As you can probably tell, I love counted cross stitch! Like most stitchers, I have a huge collection of purchased patterns, but I take great delight in finding new free charts. I have started this blog as a "Pay It Forward" thank you to all the generous stitchers who have provided free cross stitch charts throughout the years, from all around the world. I enjoy designing simple charts as much as I like stitching, so I will post free charts I have designed here for all to access. I hope you will enjoy the charts as much as I have enjoyed designing them and as much as I have delighted in the charts others have done!
Another of the "lost" charts. This was designed as an insert for the plastic mugs you can find in the hobbies and crafts stores. He would make a great scissors fob also by using part of the design - I'll try to rechart him that way also.
Have you ever stitched a mug insert? I tried my first one. I'm very pleased with the design I chose and how it looks, now that I have finished stitching it. But now I have to figure out how to use the insert in the mug. The fabric is loose between the inner and outer walls of the mug and it won't stay in place. Do you have any advice? Thank you. Wendy
I stitched my mug inserts on Vinyl weave. If you used fabric, I would try interfacing or press-on felt for backing to help it stay in place. Thanks for commenting!
I've been cross stitching for 40 years now and I never get tired of it. I also enjoy knitting, crochet and beading, but nothing can take first place with me over cross stitch.
