Time Out
Time out to stitch! One of the girls at work got married Friday so I spent Sunday afternoon stitching this announcement for her office door. I knew they were planning to get married as soon as their schedules would allow but we just weren't sure exactly what day it would be! I saw this new Lizzie Kate design a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be a great quick stitch to have on hand for things like this. FYI she also has a cute birth announcement along the same lines.

Sorry, Gone Stitchin'

Here is one of my favorite charts - it's an updated version of one I did several years ago for a local shop's monthly kit. I have posted two versions - one with backstitching and one without (for those who really don't like to backstitch). The colors in the chart match the tuck pillow I got to finish it in - feel free to change colors to suit yourself. It would make a great doorknob hanger or easel/flat fold standup.

Well, summer has arrived and that signals the return of the hummingbirds to our area. I never tire of watching them and I'm sure you can tell they are a favorite subject of mine. There will be a number of hummingbird charts offered here. I hope you will find at least one that you will want to stitch!

Cheetah/Leopard Print Scissor Fob
Here is my latest completed fob - I made it for my Gingher Cheetah Scissors but didn't have them with me for this picture - I'll post a new picture with them later. I'm posting the chart for the back which is my design, the front is also my own design except for the cheetah face itself. The cheetah face came in my software and even though I made several changes to it, I really can't take credit for it so I'm leaving that part out of the chart - the space can easily be filled with initials or date, a charm or button. My fabric wasn't quite the color I wanted so I filled in the background with half crosses of DMC 3045.

It's about time!
Where does the time go!?! I can't believe it's been almost two months since my last post! I've been sidetracked with scissor collecting but have added enough to hopefully keep me satisfied for a long time. I'm still looking for a few special pairs but I doubt that I will find them any time soon so on to other things! (Like making scissor fobs for all these new scissors!) I will certainly try harder to stay on track. I have some new charts I'll be posting over the next week or so. Some are new, some are adaptations of older ones. I hope you will find something you like!
